Privacy Policy — FACEIT Party Sniper

TL;DR: FACEIT Party Sniper collects nothing, transmits nothing, and has no accounts. All settings stay in your browser's local storage. It talks only to FACEIT's own website and API, using the same session your browser already has.

1. Overview

FACEIT Party Sniper ("the extension", "we") is a browser extension that watches the FACEIT Party Finder page, calculates the average CS2 K/D ratio of listed parties, and automatically joins the first party whose average meets your threshold. This policy explains what data the extension touches and why. The extension is an unofficial helper and is not affiliated with or endorsed by FACEIT Limited.

2. Data the extension collects

The extension does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. Specifically:

No analytics or tracking. The extension contains no analytics SDKs, no telemetry, no advertising, and no external servers of its own.
No account data. The extension never asks for, reads, or stores your FACEIT credentials (email, password, tokens, or cookies). It uses the browser session you are already signed in with.
No browsing history. The extension's content script runs only on faceit.com pages and scans nothing beyond the party list you are viewing.

3. Data stored locally on your device

The extension stores the following settings in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local). This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you remove the extension:

Your on/off (active/inactive) state
Your K/D threshold value
A scan counter and last-match status line shown in the popup
A short-lived cache of CS2 stat lookups (approximately 6 hours) to avoid re-requesting the same player's stats

4. Network requests

The extension communicates exclusively with FACEIT's own endpoints:

api.faceit.com — to look up party members' lifetime CS2 statistics (such as K/D ratio)
www.faceit.com — to read the Party Finder page you have open and to interact with its own Join button

These requests are made with your existing browser session, exactly as when you browse FACEIT normally. No data is sent to any other host, and no third party receives any information about you.

5. Permissions

storage — remembers your settings (threshold, on/off state) between browser sessions.
notifications — alerts you when a party matching your threshold has been joined.
Host access: api.faceit.com / www.faceit.com — fetches CS2 member stats and operates the FACEIT Party Finder page.

6. User content

The extension does not read or modify any user-generated content beyond the party cards visible on the FACEIT Party Finder page you are viewing.

7. Data sharing

No data is shared with any third party. No data is sold. No data is transferred outside your browser and FACEIT's own API.

8. Data retention and deletion

All locally stored settings remain on your device until you remove the extension or clear its storage. FACEIT's own data handling is governed by FACEIT's privacy policy.
